Who knows what a kiwi tree looks like?
I didn't- at least not until passing endless rows of spindly-looking bush-tree-things
along the side of the road and asking what they were.

Well, kiwi trees. Duh.
Half tree, half bush, and sprouting long tendrils like grape vines thathaven't yet been trimmed, kiwi trees are sight to behold.
Along the shorter tendrils liebunches and bunches of kiwis.
Don't be fooled though-- they look ready, butthey won't actually be ripe until the end of October/November.
Darn.
Well OK, except for the kiwis you buy in the grocery store.THESE are ripe and good for the eating pronto.
And boy are they grrrrreat for the eating. Day and night.

lushilicious!
ReplyDeleteThat's ok if they're not ripe until Oct/Nov, that's just in time to bring some back home. I like the detail of the photo of the three kiwis showing the fuzz.
