Easter weekend in Australia means a 4-day holiday.
So, like proper Australians, we escaped to the open roads of the countryside.
Heading up to north-eastern Victoria...
...to wine country,
...fruit producing country,
...and into the lovely Australian Alps.
And to our final destination- Myrtleford-
to visit Uncle Pete, Jane and Louise on their cattle ranch outside of town.
Thanks to Boo, we arrived for the weekend armed with a dyeing kit to
share in Louise's first American Easter egg coloring experience.
Sweet dreams and hope that the Easter Bunny remembers your basket this year!

The top photo of the country road looked so familiar, and then a few days later, when I picked up Jill Conway's book "The Road from Coorain", I realized why it had. Almost the same photo.
