Victorian Style: Melbourne

While trolling realestate.com.au for housing, we came across countless "Victorian"
style homes for rent. Here are few examples of what this means in Melbourne.

The two-story buildings are truly stunning, with the detailed iron-work and unique colors.

Many of the main streets have this same type of arcade lining the building.
It's both a beautiful style and convenient for avoiding the hot, hot sun.

Closer to the city center you tend to find more townhouse-type housing, with
little or no yard space. People who are fortunate enough to have a yard, however small, are
apt to make the most of it with lemon trees, roses and grasses.

Thankfully, people aren't afraid to use color here. Look at that blue pop!

Well, which Victorian would you choose?

  1. Lovely Victorian cottages and the colors are delightful. That beautiful street tree in the second photo would not be allowed in Oak Park! It would be considered a danger to the safety of all. We'll have to send Jim Semelka over with his chainsaw.
