A great thing about the French countryside is that it is full of marked walks anywhere
from 1 hour to 6 hours in length. The walks run right along farmers' fields,
through the woods and from time to time along a road.

This day we chose a walk through vineyard country, with virtually no one aroundbut the silent vines. The sun was out and the colors were lovely.
Stocking up for the coming winter...it will be here before we know it.
Along the way King Chris found his very own castle and a loyal best friend.Impressive eh? Now all he needs is to find a queen.
Over the course of the day, we passed many budding vineyards, with vines so smallit would be years and years before any yield was won from them.
You know what they say. . . a watched vine never grows.
We passed through a tiny, quaint town called Fources, with window boxesoverflowing with bright flowers. Even town was quiet.
Into the woods. What would be on the other side of the tunnel?
Eh, Voila!A sky dotted with cotton candy.
And finally, the famous Plane Trees, that line most every country roadin the south of France. Lovely, arching over the road, creating shade for all.
