Summer is fading as the sun burns the once lush-green fields to a dry, brown crisp.

The lovely sunflowers that were sustenance for the soul from July to Augustare finally beginning to hang their heads and wither up.

Is that what we have to look forward to? Gosh, hope not.
Instead of bright yellow petals, the dried up leaves are now giving off the yellow hueacross the land. Not quite the same effect, but lovely in its own way.
And the tilling begins! Turn the soil boys!
The absence of rain in the entire region post-June has lead to a very, verydry summer. Much of the green we see are either coniferous trees, or
vineyards that seem to somehow pull through with their rocky soil.
Farewell hot summer and farewell southern France.Welcome dry, brown, scarf-wearing fall.
