Each plot was weeded, tilled, turned over, planted and watered.

What a beautiful transformation. Was all this accomplished with manual labor, or did you use some mechanized equipment such as a rototiller? I could use some of these helpers in my weed-infested asparagus patch.

The roasted garlic sounds heavenly.
We tilled a litle bit, but mostly using our bare hands and strong muscles!!!!

The straw is just dried grass from when we mowed the pathways.
